It’s July! Summer Is Here!

We hope you are having a fun and safe summer! Make sure to keep kids and pets hydrated and give breaks from the heat to keep everyone safe and healthy!

July begins our HundredX fundraiser! From July 1 through July 31, you can help raise money for Forever Families by simply sharing feedback about brands and businesses you already know and use. It’s free to participate and your opinions generate funding for our programs and, in turn, for our families that we serve. Our goal is to raise $5,000. We appreciate your support!

Did You Know?

At any given time there are about 3,000 children in Michigan available for adoption through the foster care system, and about 10% of them are not matched with their adoptive family. Check out www.mare.org to learn about the children waiting to be matched with their forever family!

Help Us Grow Our Foster Program and Get Paid!

Forever Families has a Referral Incentive Program for foster families. We believe that great people know other great people, and we want to reward you for finding the next amazing addition to our kids in care.

If you know someone whose passion and values align with our mission to create safe, loving, and permanent homes for children, we want to meet them!

Here’s how it works:

  • Receive $25 when your friend or family member completes orientation.
  • Receive $75 when your friend or family member becomes licensed.
  • Receive $100 when your friend or family member receives their first foster care placement.
  • Receive up to $200!

Mission in Motion

In May 2026, we hosted our first Mission in Motion. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our mission! Together, we raised enough to provide Christmas gifts for more than 110 children in foster care. We also sold many shirts through our new Hope Collection (see the link below to purchase yours), allowing even more children to receive a shirt or another gift of equal value. Guests heard powerful testimonies from two young men who were adopted from foster care, leaving few dry eyes in the room.

Mark your calendars for our second Mission in Motion on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM at One Under Banquet Hall in Livonia. Tickets are $75 per person. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, auction items, adoption stories, and presentation of our Community Impact Award. Watch our website for additional details and RSVP information.

Employee of the Month: Amanda Polinski

Amanda works in our state ward adoption department. She recently stepped into a supervisory role and has successfully managed unexpected tasks on top of her own cases. She remains positive and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Thank you for all that you do for the kids and the agency!

We’ve Been Busy!

During this quarter (April – June) our staff have achieved the following:

  • 1 domestic adoption placement
  • 2 new licensed foster homes
  • 2 state ward adoptions finalized
  • 2 reunifications
