Why we want to be parents:
We are two educators that work every day to help children find their true potential. We are excited grow our family and provide the love, experience, and support to help our child develop into a caring adult who follows their dreams.
What activities we look forward to doing with a child:
We look forward to providing and supporting a wide range of experiences and activities for our child. We love camping, skiing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. We also want to inspire creativity through the arts and foster self expression. Learning and trying new things motivates us and makes us happy.
The people/pets who make up our family:
We have a 1 year old German Shorthair Pointer named Greta.
Our ethnic/cultural background:
Elizabeth: German / Irish
Nathan: German / Anglo Saxon
Family celebrations that are important to us:
Our extended families meet for all traditional holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. We also have unique family celebrations on both sides of our family. Each year Nathans’ family meets and camps for his dads birthday and Beth’s family will meet for the opening of walleye and sturgeon fishing seasons.
Any religious identification:
We are non-denominational. Elizabeth was raised Catholic and Nathan was raised Pentecostal.
Fun activities we like to do:
We love traveling both in the US and to other countries. Each summer we take a road trip and love going out west. We also love skiing, fishing, and scuba diving. Nathan started bee keeping and harvesting honey and Beth loves being a Little Library Steward.
Where we live:
We live in a small Northern Michigan resort community that is right on Lake Michigan.
A few fun facts about each of us:
Nathan likes sewing and founded an outdoor adventure club for at risk kids.
Beth is a Free Little Librarian and has presented at several reading conferences.
One thing we would like the birth family to know about us/why we would be good parents:
We will provide a life full of love, acceptance, and adventure.
