Dan & Jesi

Why we want to be parents:

Our life is full of laughter, simple pleasures, and an abundance of love that we can’t wait to share with a child. We can’t wait to be parents and to see the world through the eyes of a child. Our goal is to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for a child to thrive!

What activities we look forward to doing with a child:

When we look ahead to our future, we see family outings to the farmer’s market, playdates at the zoo, Friday night traditions of pizza + movies, family vacations, playing at the park with cousins and friends, honoring family holiday traditions, and making new traditions of our own!

The people/pets who make up our family:

We love our French Bulldog named Kevin Bacon and cat named James Earl Jones. Your child would be welcomed by incredible grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and an amazing circle of friends we call our “chosen family”.

Our ethnic/cultural background:

Dan’s heritage is Finnish and Irish, and Jesi comes from a French Canadian and English background.

Family celebrations that are important to us:

We’re eager to have a child join our family and our extended family is just as excited! Together we love to celebrate holidays, birthdays – any excuse to get together with loved ones. We love being creative with gift-giving and we can’t wait to make fun family memories with Easter Egg hunts, homemade Halloween costumes, and more!

Any religious identification:

We believe in respect, community, and love. We were both raised Catholic but do not currently identify as religious.

Fun activities we like to do:

Together, we love game nights, live music and events, comedians, trying new restaurants, and home renovation projects.

Where we live (city, rural, community):

With our future family in mind, we moved to a home in a diverse suburban neighborhood with a large fenced-in backyard, highly rated schools, and a playground nearby!

A few fun facts about each of us:

Jesi is an artist, which fortunately provides a flexible schedule that will allow her to care for a young child. Jesi loves interior design, craft projects, thrifting, and gardening. Dan works at a non-profit that promotes inclusion in sports and schools. Dan loves trying new recipes, reading, road trips, golfing and anything sports related!
