Why we want to be parents:
We love kids and the joy they bring to the world. We cannot wait to meet our future kids and watch the people they grow to be. We both come from big extended families and understand the importance of family. We feel like we have a lot to offer a child that can enrich their life.
What activities we look forward to doing with a child:
There are so many thoughts which run through our minds, playing basketball in the driveway, playing t-ball in the backyard, going for walks to the lake, teaching them to ride their first bike, teaching them to plant in the garden, and reading with them cuddled up in bed. We both have some many great memories as a child from our first drive-in movie, to summers at the lake, playing capture-the-flag with neighbor kids, and learning to fish. We want our children to have all of these experiences and more.
The people/pets who make up our family:
We have a dog named, Clyde. He is the most friendly dog and is filled with energy. Your child will be welcomed with open arms by a family of two grandpas, two grandmas, three sets of aunts and uncles and five cousins who cannot wait for a new addition.

Family celebrations that are important to us:
We love a reason to celebrate someone, and their accomplishments. This is a family that loves to gather for every birthday and life event. The holidays are a sacred time for us, and the house is especially a buzz from October to January as we celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We don’t leave out Easter (Troy’s #1 candy holiday) or Fourth of July (Kristin’s favorite time with family). We love any holiday that includes good food and being surrounded by family and friends.

Fun activities we like to do:
We love traveling and experiencing new cultures. When we are home we like a bit of everything from kayaking, to skiing, hiking, and bike riding. When the weather doesn’t cooperate we both enjoy reading a good book or playing board games. We both love to entertain family and friends, usually cooking big meals. We expect that a child will change some of these activities, and we can’t wait for new adventures and experiences.

A few fun facts about each of us:
- Troy is proud of receiving a trophy when he was nine years old for selling the most candy bars in his little league.
- Kristin has traveled to 30 countries.
- Troy has shaken hands with two presidents.
- Kristin once had a goldfish named Bob, who lived for 3 years.
One thing we would like the birth family to know about us/why we would be good parents:
We have so much love to give your child. We want them to know about their birth mother and where they came from. We want them to understand their culture and their background. We want your child to be the best version of themselves and to be surrounded with love and support. We will always love your child unconditionally.
