Why we want to be parents:
Words cannot express how excited we are to welcome a son or daughter into our home! It will be amazing to share with him/her all our knowledge and family traditions. We have so much love to give and look forward creating many fond memories.
What activities we look forward to doing with a child:
We look forward to all the “firsts”, holidays, spending time with family/friends and boating in the summertime. We also enjoy vacations, especially the yearly trip to Florida with Lauren’s family.
Our ethnic/cultural background:
We are both Caucasian. Lauren is German and Scottish, and Dan is German and Swedish.
The people/pets who make up our family:
Besides us, we have two spoiled, fun loving dogs named Bradford and Mila.
Family celebrations that are important to us:
We enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every year we host both holiday parties where family and friends are invited. There is always a lot of love and laughter around this time.
Any religious identification:
We have Christian beliefs, but currently are not practicing.
Fun activities we like to do:
We love boating, cooking, board games, golfing, and shopping. Really any excuse to get together with family and friends!
Where we live (city, rural, community):
We built our house in 2018. It is a four bedroom home located on a quiet cul-de-sac with a large yard and friendly neighbors! We are lucky to live in this great Mid-Michigan city that is almost completely surrounded by water and beautiful views. Even though our town is small it boasts a great school system and plenty of things to do!
A few fun facts about each of us:
Lauren is an energetic outgoing person. In her free time Lauren enjoys spending time with family and friends. This is especially true during the holidays when everyone can get together. She also likes to play games and read. During the summer, Lauren loves boating and being on the water. She also loves music of all types and is always ready for the next song.
Dan has many hobbies: reading, going to the gym, golfing, playing pool, catching a good movie, and boating are just a few. He also enjoys getting together with friends on Friday game night. He likes to stay busy and is always up for a good time!
One thing we would like the birth family to know about us/why we would be good parents:
Our hearts are big, and we have a lot of love to give. We will teach our child the importance of honesty, hard-work and caring for others; while taking time to laugh and have fun!
